with all these theories being thrown around, i decided to tie some strings together here.

the theory of rose quartz being royalty could very easily fit with the great diamond authority that ronaldo mentioned briefly in “keep beach city weird”. in the theory post, the name “rose diamond” is theorised, which makes it more plausible that rose was once part of the gda.

this also wraps around to the post about pearl being defective. defective is a term used for soldiers who leave the battlefield, or go missing in action. this implies that she was once part of an army, perhaps the ones referred to by greg in “the return”. 

what i’m saying is, that once upon a time, there was an army that served the great diamond authority, and rose quartz/diamond was once part of the authority – making her royalty in a sense. 

the army probably had multiples of the same gems ( defective pearl, referred to in a plural sense ), some of which being pearls, peridots, and maybe even jaspers ( jasper also has a facial gem, and she treats peridot like a commanding officer ). they fit some stereotypical ranks of an army ( front-lines fighter, strategist/commander, the big guns ), and all seem to be trained well in their combat suit. and i really doubt the gems would have their civilians fighting wars.

to go even further out, i can easily see the rest of the diamond authority agreeing on kindergarten happening like a council. rose didn’t like it, rebelled, and pearl went defective to join her. she probably changed her name in defiance, to become rose quartz.
